Success on a solid foundation

Formed in Switzerland in 1982, MB Barter & Trading SA has its head office in Zug, which is a major international commodities centre. At first, its commercial activities concentrated primarily on trading in plastics and chemicals with India, South Africa and China. Starting in 1989, distribution operations were established and constantly expanded in Western Europe before being extended to central and Eastern Europe as well from 1995. In the wake of the Asian crisis in 1997, we increased procurement from the Far East as well as from the Middle East and North Africa starting in 2000.

Today we are one of the leading distribution and trading companies for standard polymers, PET and rubber, building our business upon sustainable relationships with customers and suppliers alike. We have around 200 people working in 24 company offices in Western and Central Europe, the Far East and South Africa, supported by numerous cooperation partners based locally throughout the world.
